With more than 60,000 implantations and nearly 15 years of clinical experience, the APRIL® cup system offers a complete choice of friction torques to meet a wide variety of indications.

Enhanced primary stability

Enhanced primary stability

  • Progressive pressfit for a gradual transmission of forces to the equator.
  • Reduced polar part to avoid the support at the bottom of the acetabulum which could compromise the stability of the pressfit.

Minimally invasive design with chamfered edges that limits the risk of conflict with soft tissue.

Choose freely

according to indications

One concept, multiple possibilities

  • The identical pressfit of the two versions (APRIL® Ceramic and APRIL® Poly) enables the friction torque to be chosen freely, while maintaining the same feeling on impaction.
  • The internal design of the APRIL® cup has been conceived to allow the best mechanical cohesion between the insert / cup depending on the materials.

BIOLOX® Delta technology offers the attractive combination of very low wear and excellent biocompatibility, which often makes it a preferred choice for active patients.

The INLOCK X insert made of highly cross-linked polyethylene allows a significant reduction in wear rate compared to conventional polyethylene (UHMWPE), thus offering an excellent cost performance ratio.

  • Congruence between the insert and the cup designed to eliminate micro-movements and minimize the risk of “backside wear”
  • “Grips” system designed to ensure that the insert clicks into place and remains stable in rotation

Promote stability by increasing range of motion

  • Possibility of increasing the head diameter to 36 mm from cup size 52 on the entire APRIL® system.
  • Promote joint stability while controlling wear by relying on high-performance materials.
  • Maximize range of motion without compromising.

Simplicity and flexibility of modern instrumentation

Simplicity and flexibility
modern instrumentation

  • Ultra-compact with a single basket common to the entire range of Symbios cups.
  • Simple thanks to a position of the instruments in coherence with the operating times.
  • Surgical flexibility with instrumentation adapted for all approaches.
