Symbios collects the personal data you voluntarily give us, such as but not limited to requesting information via our site, resume and/or motivation letter submission, online event registration and site registration. We also collect information about your use of our site (e.g. browsing behaviour). For example, we may collect the Internet Protocol address assigned to your computer by your internet service provider. This address may change each time you connect to the internet (a “dynamic” IP address), or it may remain the same (a “static” IP address). In most cases, this information is collected automatically, for our legitimate business interests.

If you are a registered user, we may use your Usage Data with or without your personal data to measure the website’s performance and improve the website’s design and functionality.

• Information about your business, such as a company name, company size, business type or your position in the company;
• Medical condition;
• Demographic information such as age, education, gender, interests and location;
• Contact information, such as email and phone number;
• Testimonials;
• Site survey responses;
• Site blog and community forum posts;
• Transaction history.

We use this information to:

• send you product updates, newsletters, marketing communication, requested product or service information, to fulfil services you have requested and to understand your interests and preferences;
• respond to your questions;
• administer your account;
• conduct surveys and other research and analyses;
• improve our website and marketing efforts;
• optimise the user experience;
• deliver promotional material where allowed by law;
• enable you to post your resume and motivation letter, search job postings and contact or be contacted by prospective Symbios representatives and agents.

Job applicant personal data is used solely for the purpose of the employment process. It is retained only for the purpose of considering your application for current Symbios positions or as necessary to comply with the law.

Non-personal information is information that cannot identify you or be tied to you in any way. Therefore, the non-personal information that we collect through this website does not identify you as an individual person, and will not be linked to you. If you visit our website to read or download information, such as information about a health condition or about one of our products, we may collect certain non-personal information from your computer. This information is collected from your computer’s web browser. If you only read or simply click to download information on our website, we do not collect or learn your name, email, home address or any other personal information about you.

A Cookie is a unique numeric code that we transfer to your computer so that we can keep track of your interests and/or preferences and recognise you as a return visitor to the website. Cookie technology allows us to collect “clickstream” data, which is not personal information but which reflects your activities on the website, including the pages you view. We may use the information collected by cookies for general statistical and other purposes.

Data Sharing & Onward Transfers

Symbios will not sell or lease your personal data to a third party; however, there are certain circumstances where we may share your personal data without additional notice to you. • to law-enforcement personnel and agencies, including to meet national security requirements or as part of a legal process, in order to protect our property or in furtherance of an investigation regarding a breach of the website rules and policies, unauthorised access to or use of the website or any other illegal activities.

The access granted to our affiliates, subsidiaries and third parties is limited solely to the purpose for which such information was provided. Furthermore, we require our affiliates, subsidiaries and third parties to uphold and maintain Symbios’ Privacy Policy with respect to privacy and the treatment of your personal data, regardless of their location and the laws of the countries they are based in. They are contractually required to provide at least the same level of protection.

Description of Your Data Protection Rights

At any time, you may exercise your right to access, rectify and, if necessary, erase any personal information relating to you, or restrict the processing of your personal information, in compliance with applicable laws.
